like my subject line suggests, I am NOT flexible! No way on the splits!

Only impulsively! I need to develop a good routine.

(5) What is your favourite stretching exercise?
Schradieck warmups for the fingers in my left hand, and stretching my arms to relieve tension in my wrists.

To gain flexibility all over by learning and implementing new stretches!

What inspired you to start stretching?

I started because I saw someone do a really advanced stretch and I wanted to try, and when I did, I discovered how good it felt. Then I watched Center Stage and I wanted to be able to stretch like they did. I still do actually.

1) Who are you? Still working on that one...
(2) What's your background (i.e. what sport/martial art/dancing/etc do you do?) I danced from 3-16. I trained in ballet and contemporary and then I had a huge break while I was recovering from an ED. I'm now returning to ballet.
(3) How flexible are you? Can you do the splits? More than the average person I guess. I can bend forward (in the toe touching position) and put my palms flat on the floor whilst bending my elbows. I can do the leg-forward splits (but only with my right leg forward) and I can lift my leg quite high off the floor when supported.
(4) How often do you stretch? Hardly ever. I'm trying to get that sorted.
(5) What is your favourite stretching exercise? Anything involving stretching my quads.

Hello there!

1) Who are you? My name is Fabiola or Fabi for short.
(2) What's your background (i.e. what sport/martial art/dancing/etc do you do?) I am new to Yoga and so far enjoying every mintue of it.
(3) How flexible are you? Can you do the splits? Both ways?  On a scale from 1-10 I'm currently a 5.  Before I started Yoga I coun't even fold foward and touch my toes... now I can!!
(4) How often do you stretch? 3-4 times a week
(5) What is your favourite stretching exercise? any frontbending stretches
(6) What is your stretching goal?  My overall goal is to become more flexible but the day I can do a split I'll be a happy woman.

(1) Who are you? My real name is Otis, but you can call me "Odie"

(2) What's your background (i.e. what sport/martial art/dancing/etc do you do?) I've been practicing yoga since I was 11 or 12. On and off (mostly off) during college.

(3) How flexible are you? Can you do the splits? Both ways? I'm fairly flexible. I can do mainly forward bending (frontbending) poses very easily. As of now, my left front splits are better than my right front splits. Plus, I'm about 1 inch from the ground on my straddle splits.

(4) How often do you stretch? Almost every day to every other day for about 2 hours on average.

(5) What is your favourite stretching exercise? A yoga asana called the Paschimottanasana. Basically a forward bend with the legs flat on the floor.

(6) What is your stretching goal? Basically to improve my backbending again. Perhaps get back into a cheststand.

(2) What's your background (i.e. what sport/martial art/dancing/etc do you do?)I dance- ballet tap jazz moder, a bit of hip hop, all kinds. I like to stretch and want to become a contortionist
(3) How flexible are you? Can you do the splits? Both ways? I can do the splits both ways, a bit of an oversplit sometimes but no center split quite yet.
(4) How often do you stretch? Prett much every day. Sometimes multiple times a day
(5) What is your favourite stretching exercise? Back stretches
(6) What is your stretching goal? My ultimate stretching goal is to be able to do a head seat. for anyone who doesn't know, it's basically where you get your bum to sit on top of your head.

Hi, thought I might join this community. :)


(1) Who are you? I'm Cera.
(2) What's your background (i.e. what sport/martial art/dancing/etc do you do?) I dabble, mainly. I like being flexible. I've recently taken up yoga and I really highly enjoy that. I'd like to start dancing or doing a martial art like aikido or tai chi.
(3) How flexible are you? Can you do the splits? Both ways? I can do a right leg front split, but I'm not extremely flexible. More so than most, though.
(4) How often do you stretch? Every day, for a few minutes at a time, throughout the day. When I'm thinking about it.
(5) What is your favourite stretching exercise? Leg stretches/front bends
(6) What is your stretching goal? A full front bend with my legs spread fully in a middle split.

Contortion art

This is the first of a four part set of the elements inspired by different styles of dance. This one is Contortion/Hip-Hop representing the element of fire. I used prisma color, marker, and crayon for the different texture, and I assure you this one looks 1,000,000,000 times better than the photo, but the origional is about 2ft by 1 1/2ft, so I can't scan it.

(3) How flexible are you? Can you do the splits? Both ways? I'm hardly flexible, but I try so hard.
(4) How often do you stretch? Twice a day for an hour and a half each
(5) What is your favourite stretching exercise? I don't really have a favorite...
(6) What is your stretching goal? To be at a point where I can look back to the time in my life where I couldn't even touch my toes, and be proud.
